| RE: Recent Peanut Butter Salmonella Concern
To Our Valued Consumers
U.S. Nutrition of Ronkonkoma, NY, is conducting a voluntary recall of Karma Organic Double Chocolate Bars and Karma Organic Orange Cranberry Almond Bars because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. This action is a result of the Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) expanded recall of January 28, 2009 for all products manufactured in their Blakely, Georgia facility since January 1, 2007. These bars were not manufactured by U.S. Nutrition. No contaminated Karma product has been reported. This voluntary recall is being conducted to avoid any concern or issues with our customers. These are the only products from U.S. Nutrition that are involved. The following bars were distributed nationwide via retail stores: Karma Organic Double Chocolate Bars
